    2. Okay... too late. I fell down roller blading in front of one of my friend's house and skinned up my knee pretty bad. :(

  2. Stands in awkward aisle of Wal Mart praying no one walks by, only to have a gaggle of little kids in a shopping cart all chime (loudly!), "HELLLLLOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
And then I found out that my Pastor was shopping at the same time.

    1. Why, thank you! All photography credits go to my webcam. All facial expressions courtesy of sophomore year finals.

  4. Ah this is just too relatable. As a homeschool graduate, I learned most of my words through reading. So I know a whole lot of word definitions, but still often pronounce them wrong (Why did english give up on phonics? Why oh why?).

    1. Exactly!!! What's even more embarrassing is that my homeschooled roommate corrects me all the time. "It's not 'ruff,' it's 'roof.'" And some of it is dialectical too. Which is why I tease her about her "pellow" ("pillow").

    2. Yes, my siblings and I would do and still do this all the time.

      At the dinner table:
Younger Me: "Well, everything is made out of "uh-TOMS"."

      Mom/Dad: "Do you mean "adams"?"

We never knew how to pronounce anything when we were younger.

    3. Hahaha! I heard about a homeschooler who got all the way to college thinking "headache" was pronounced "headatch." You know, homeschoolers are smart. And then sometimes they just aren't. XD

  5. Well, today I burned a pie crust. That I wasn't supposed to bake until after I put the filling in, apparently. Now I have to try later tonight.

    1. Hahaha! Give yourself some credit -- at least you can BAKE a pie. I can just eat pie. ;)
